Isaiah 40:9 You who bring good news to Zion,
    go up on a high mountain.
You who bring good news to Jerusalem,[c]
    lift up your voice with a shout,
lift it up, do not be afraid;
    say to the towns of Judah,
    “Here is your God!”

            Our faith in Jesus Christ was never meant to be a personal possession which we hold privately and is no on else’s business. Faith and hope were meant to be shared. If not, It is no faith at all. Any comfort we derive from knowing Jesus is meant to be shared and told as often and as possible in any circumstance. Remember the old camp song lyric: “…and they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love…”? When Jesus was baptized it was in public. When he healed it was frequently accomplished in the synagogue. When He was crucified he hung in humiliation in a very public way. When He rose from the grave he was seen by over five hundred witnesses. (1 Corinthians 15”For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.) He had the courage to live God’s holiness right out loud. Do you?
