Matthew 5: Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
It is a simple truth that the persecution of Christians has increased exponentially in the last 50 years. In less civilized parts of the world this has resulted in beheadings and kidnappings and rape. In the so-called civilized places the persecution is more subtle and likely to be accepted as the normative behavior in a progressive society. More to the point, the repeal of Roe v. Wade by the US supreme court may be working to not only increase persecution of Christians by local politicians and continue apace the slaughter of innocent babies, precious human children in the sight of God. (How ironic that we will go to extreme lengths to “rescue” some flea-bitten animal while ignoring the murders of babies happening every day.
I would give as an example of this neo persecution the recent local council decision in England covering the areas known as Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole to ban any display of “making the sign of the cross, quoting Scripture, or praying anywhere near an abortion ‘clinic’. This is an example of the exclusion of Christians and Christian thoughts and values happening all over the Western world. *
Please pray earnestly for the deluded people who are dragging us all closer to the return of Jesus when God’s final wrath will come to pass. Maranatha Lord Jesus.
