Matthew 19 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’

More on Marriage
I’m not an expert. In some ways I feel like I am just now beginning to really understand what it means to be married. Although I have shared life with the same woman for more than forty eight years I truly have not yet fully comprehended the degree and depth of the blessing of knowing this wonderful woman whom God led me to so many years ago.
Stop the music. Yes. We have had our share of rough spots. Yes we have struggled with the very mechanics of family, work, finances, even the gnawing wonder of how things might have gone differently. But through it all, we have had a spirit of unity that no calamity could destroy. I will freely admit that this has not been my doing or that of my wife. We have been willing participants in a great experiment by God to create in us a home, to forge though us a calling, and to allow us to experience the joy and heartache of parenthood, even through the adolescent and adult years of our children’s lives. The great joy of grandchildren, and now a great grandchild is the single most fulfilling part of this whole experience next to knowing Jesus as my Savior. I am grateful to God for every day and for every word he allows me to write.
