Matthew 5:18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 5:18-19 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew5:18-19&version=NASB1995

I read with great sadness an article concerning the United Methodist denomination among others that are being splintered by the voices of compromise shouting loudly in virtually every congregation.

AT 3 AM this morning I wrote about this situation in a visceral rather angry manner which I will not post here. Suffice it to say, those who use Paul’s words to the Ephesian Church (Ephesians 2:15) as an excuse to test the waters and bring sin into the church stretching and distorting out of all reason words such as justice, acceptance mercy and tolerance will in the end experience these saddest of words from our Lord Jesus; “Away from me. I never knew you.”

  1. Very true – God has given the standard for how to live we cannot change the standard, but we must allow the Holy Spirit to change us to be like Christ – it is only possible through God’s forgiveness as provided by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and our TOTAL surrender of our will to GOD.
