Judges 3:7 The sons of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and forgot the Lord their God and served the Baals and the Asheroth. 8 Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hands of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.
9 When the sons of Israel cried to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for the sons of Israel to deliver them, Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother. 10 The Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel. When he went out to war, the Lord gave Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand, so that he prevailed over Cushan-rishathaim. 11 Then the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died. (NASB)

This excerpt from the beginning of the book of Judges underscores the concept of the loss of freedoms and protection that come from obedience to the Lord. The Israelites lived in a constant cycle of spiritual sloth leading to a surrender of rights, privileges of a free people in order to “benefit” from the now lost to history cultures all around them. Like the lemmings in the above painting the Israelites and dare I say now the peoples of so-called Western nations are bent on running headlong over the cliff to their doom as they surrender independence and liberty in to a few who are proclaiming an absolute egalitarian social agenda where there is no good or bad, only what seems right to you.
The floodgates have been opened where every perversion is up for open debate. In a nation where children are the pawns in a larger game it is tragic to see the damage that results from the laziness and cowardice of Christian men and women who in their fear of rejection or ostracism never speak out as government and so called media influencers erode our liberty day by day.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Ye soldiers of the Cross
Lift high the Royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.
