Ezekiel 13:9 “So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord God.

I don’t know which 1,000 pastors this group surveyed, but the results are concerning. 39% of “evangelical” pastors surveyed recently said there is no absolute moral truth and that “each individual must determine their own truth.” What a lie. They also said that, shockingly, 30% of evangelical pastors do not believe that their salvation is based on having confessed their sins and accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. Researchers also found that one-third or more of the senior pastors they surveyed said they believe that people can merit salvation based solely on their good works. These are all lies, and this kind of false teaching is what is leading people and churches astray. The Bible is God’s Word, from cover to cover. It is the absolute truth—we should live by it, and we can die by it. On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand. Quote from Franklin Graham 09052022 facebook.com
If you ever wondered just exactly what was wrong in the Christian churches around the world I believe Rev. Graham nailed it perfectly in the quote above. The “new” breed of preachers and pastors have by and large been sold a bill of goods by liberal colleges and seminaries who have utterly failed in their obligations to Christ by teaching false and misleading doctrines that have weakened the faith of individuals and have caused a dramatic downturn in the effectiveness of the witness of the Church as a whole.
Ever and always there have been and will be detractors to the witnesses of Jesus, but to find them within the body of Christ and in positions of leadership is akin to discovering a deeply rooted cancer. Those who prophecy, that is those who claim to “tell forth the love of Jesus” must needs be more clearly vetted and should be sanctioned when they fail to live up to their stated beliefs, elsewise the Church will become as useless and as ineffective as many parts now seem to be.
To those who in the body of Christ faithfully speak forth the truth of Jesus, and the possibilities implicit in the promise of the Holy Spirit I thank you and pray that you will be strengthened to continue in faithful service to the king.
It is enough that Jesus died, and that He died for me!
