To walk in faithful hope and certainty is a daunting thing when measured against the massive flow of hell bound traffic going the other way. It can seem lonely at first, but the farther up the narrow way you travel the closer the companionship of our Lord, or at the very least our awareness grows. When we hear the outcry of family and friends who have rejected Jesus and our choice to follow Him, we must garner all our strength to continue following and emulating Jesus in all things including love and forgiveness. It is hard!
Make no mistake, The Devil only becomes interested in you when you become a threat to his schemes, or in his twisted thinking he thinks to hurt the cause and truth of Jesus. I guess, if the struggle becomes difficult and temptations swirl around you, you should “consider it pure joy…’ (James 1:2-4) There is no easy way to put this. We are in a period of soul building and attitude setting that will only come to a conclusion when we finally stand before our Lord and king. Keep walking.
