Jeremiah 23:24 Can a person hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.

            If ever there was an illustrative verse of the idea of the “two edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12) this is it. On the one hand, or blade if you will there is the idea that you cannot deceive or evade the Lord our God. On the other there is the comfort of knowing that He is always there. He watches over His whole creation. Yes, it grieves His heart when we sin, but He is also there to provide strength, hope and clarity of vision when we are put to the test.

            I feel so badly for those who have set themselves up for failure on this world. So many are listening to the lies of gurus and so-called prophets just as the people of Judah were in Jeremiah’s time. (Ibid chapter 23) It will come of no good. God’s wrath is being poured out even as we speak. Are you out in the open with your faith? Whether or not the people around you, even those you love most dearly will either listen and hear or not. Don’t give up. Pray continually.
