Proverbs 2 My son, if you will receive my words
And treasure my commandments within you,
Make your ear attentive to wisdom;
Incline your heart to understanding.
For if you cry out for insight,
And [a]raise your voice for understanding;
If you seek her as silver
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And discover the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;

            As I sat an a pew playing background music duringthe first Wednesday night prayer meeting in a long while it came to my mind that the church as we interpret it today is much like the ld dog trying to learn a new trick. We don’t know how to pray when we’re together because we don’t really know each other. I would normally complain loudly over this (as I have in the past, usually to no avail) but in reality I do understand and must once again dive deep into scripture for the answer to the conundrum I have faced for many years.

            Admittedly I am something, (really much nore than something) of a Luddite (see below)) but I also realize that technology and socia change are two wild horses that God has known about from the beginning and has planned for. I applaud the efforts made to being the modern church technologically into the twenty first century, but I decry the parasitic social ideologies that have attached themselves to much of what has been brough into the church. God is still on the throne. Sin is still sin. There will be a reckoning.

            Lord grant me wisdom to be the very best for you that I can and true to the word in all things.
