Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

There is a huge difference between knowing about Jesus and knowing Jesus. If you find yourself standing on the wrong side of that statement the week ahead may give you pause. Sunday June 5, 2022 is Pentecost Sunday. It is the day when the church commemorates the events of the first Pentecost festival following the Resurrection of Jesus. There are many in the church who will state unequivocally that that event, that moment, was a “one-off” never to be repeated. Some wags have even built loud and obnoxious radio and television careers based upon that premise. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!
Scripture is replete with promises and instances of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Do not be misled. It would break the very heart of Jesus to know that you were so bamboozled by those charlatans who have unfortunately walked and stalked the halls of our church buildings for the past 2000 years.
You can be filled with the Holy Spirit; you can seek Him for all you’re worth. When you fall on Him in utter helplessness you are ready to be filled with His Holy presence and power
