Isaiah 59: Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him
That there was no justice.
16 He saw that there was no man,
And wondered that there was no intercessor;

            The chapter of Isaiah above #59 as we number them today should be a must read and study for anybody who claims to understand God’s plan for the world. You see, left to our own devices, we are not willing to pay the price for justice or mercy or compassion. We are a mess of self-interest, greed, fear, and aggression which, left unchecked, leads to the kind of society or lack thereof in which we live today. There is no authority that is respected, there is no law that cannot be questioned, there is no excuse which cannot be justified in the eyes of authority, nor is there any crime which cannot be finagled into some sort of virtue. Isaiah was right when he penned,
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter (5:20)!

            I know my need for an intercessor for all of the agonies of my soul, the temptations of my body, and for the revulsion I feel toward the heathens of this world. I pray every day that God would continue to give me a heart of love and acceptance for the lost sheep of his pasture. How about you?
