Zechariah 9: 9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.(NIV)

As the children march through the sanctuary waving their palm branches please do not lose sight of the fact that it is a kind of “wave offering” to the Lord Jesus as He approaches the gates of the city. This somewhat disheveled and weary man riding the humblest conveyance possible is coming in victory. Were you may ask is the victory? Where is the majesty?
In case you missed it in the predictive text from the prophet Zechariah read again: See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious…
It is a fait accompli, His victory is His righteousness, in His obedience and determination
is fund his victory. The detractors, and there were many, surely would have grasped the symbolic “slap in the face” of their own presumptions and pretentions.
Prayer thought for today: That: Russian leaders would undergo a change of heart. That a Spirit of peace would overshadow the whole Ukraine conflict and that those who are mourning would be comforted.
