2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

This shining representation of the cross is sort of inaccurate. As Christians we probably understand the “glory” of the cross, but we must never forget the weight of the sin of the world for all time was cast upon Him though He deserved it not. Think for a moment, every murder, every adultery, every theft, every lie, every misrepresentation every denial every rejection of truth, every punishment fell upon this blessed man who reconciled Himself in love for the Father and willingly, yes, willingly accepted all of that so that you and I might taste of the fruits of Heaven. No other god has been willing to die for all. Look at the religious mess in the world today. Every single one, other than Christianity has at its core some sort of performance ritual which if not adhered to results in death and oblivion.
