How contrary to the spirit of the age. When we are all taking “selfies” and worrying about promoting our “brand” that we should be called upon to stand or kneel in humility before God is difficult to accept, yet it is essential that we come to the place of recognizing that our very lives are in His hands. Whether we accept this or not it is true. No matter how much we assert that “truth is relative” the fact that we are not our own and that God will have His due is a reality that we must come to grips with, if not now, then later when it is too late.
This God who raises us up from the dust is the same God who “so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16) we are that important to Him. Who needs a “selfie” in the face of so much love?
