Galatians 6:1Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. (NKJV)

I don’t know if anyone reading this has ever been in the position to be the person who has been responsible for restoring a broken and abject, contrite and humbled person before but there can come over someone a vindictive and cruel spirit which rejects and does more injury to the contrite soul. Psalm 51:7 (of David when accused by Nathan and convicted of his sinfulness with Bathsheba, thereby offending God his Savior) says famously.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.
And Peter inquires of the Lord, “How many times…?” (Matthew 18-19-21). And Jesus states plainly, Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
So, if you’re ever wondering about what to do with your “righteous anger” consider this. It is just as dangerous to be unforgiving as to be in open rebellion against the Lord.
