1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

One could look at the year ahead with fear and trepidation. Some might ask the question: “How much worse could it get?” Many people who claim Christ as their Savior and Lord seem to have willingly put back on the chains of fear and hopelessness. Look to the Word people. Break off the chains. Those whom Christ has set free are free indeed. As Paul said so eloquently: “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain”. Think about it as we face the unknowns of the coming year.

Is there someone you have been afraid to approach with the truth of Jesus? What have you got to lose? Is there a mission call upon your life that you have hidden yourself away from? Why not step out into the light of day and go for it? Had trouble praying? Stop worrying about “getting it right”. God knows the heart, and he understands even without words the needs you are wanting to ask Him about. Go ahead, jump in!
