4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
Yes folks, it is as simple and as complex as that. Everything else is relegated to “Why?” and wonderment. How could humankind having once been shown the Way become so arrogant and stupid as to assume anything else could possibly show the way? Our colleges are filled with monumentally stupid people who in their zeal to disprove the fact of the risen Christ they have perpetuated and concocted lie upon lie. The simple fact of the matter is that we have invested so much in the building of these ziggurats of knowledge that we have forgotten to examine what is being taught. All of this false teaching filters down to the very youngest of the world’s citizens. How tragic. Not even the children are safe anymore. Perhaps the worst predators fo our culture stalk the halls of our very “finest” institutions, yes, even the church.
Here in the verses above is an absolute and perfect yardstick to measure the “content of a person’s character” to quote a great leader. Think about it. Anyone who falls short of this high mark is living in the camp of the devil.
