Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

When it seems that destructive forces are coming at yo from every quarter this verse from Isaiah is perhaps one of the most comforting verses of the Old Testament. God’s deliverance of His creation is a pre-emptive strike against those forces whatever they may be. He is os invested he even sent a rescuer, a deliverer who brought to us the power to overcome all of the social weirdness and evil that rises up around us. He has even given His Holy Spirit to combat the evil that we have inherited as a curse from our first parents. (Genesis 3). Some days we are driven to our knees in prayer for the fallen state of the world, but we frequently fail to acknowledge our own duplicity in participating in those systems that perpetuate the inevitable fall. Remember; “It’s not the fall that ‘ll kill ya. It’s the sudden stop at the bottom.
