Romans 12:1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
We Bring The Sacrifice Of Praise
We bring the sacrifice of praise
Into the house of the Lord
We bring the sacrifice of praise
Into the house of the Lord
And we offer up to You
The sacrifices of thanksgiving
And we offer up to You
The sacrifices of joy

You may recall having heard this text preached with many dire warnings about life, living, and obligations of service. Often times this has been used as a “proof text” to coerce Christian folk into doing one thing or another that church leadership is focused on at the moment. While you may or may not sense an obligation to service of a particular nature It is clear from Paul’s letter to the confused and divided Roman church of his day that the sacrifices needful for you and I as we believe in the great salvation of our Lord Jesus are to be thankful (Romans 1, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 5, to be free in your expression of joy Philippians 4)
