Hebrews 10: 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

No matter how you look at it the whole idea of sacrifice, whether you accept the need or not, there are two basic issues. First, the sacrifices of a priest no matter how much or in what form will never atone for sin in the eyes of God. Second, the one priest, our Jesus, has made of himself a sacrifice that is once for all for all time and is efficacious in the eyes of God to atone for your sins and mine. That He did this still amazes me every day. That I comprehend it at all I wonder at every day. To be sanctified means to be set apart to God. It is a volitional idea to be entered into with all of your heart mind soul and body, just as Jesus gave all of Himself heart mind soul and body.
