Exodus 14:31And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.

It seems a long way from the time I trusted someone enough to leap into their arms as the little fellow in the picture. Sometimes I feel as though I am approaching a precipice and I’m hearing the voice of Jesus calling to me and say “It’s all right. Trust me I’ll catch you.” And you know what? I think I do trust Him that much. When the time comes to take that last leap into his arms I will trust Him.

There is no safety, there is no attraction, there is no unfinished business that is so important that I would ever delay that moment when He says come. The Israelites had nothing to lose by following Moses into the wilderness. They were already enslaved they were already losing their identity. If we were to try and remain for any reason other than His command we would be missing out on the greatest adventure of our lives.

And in case any of you are wondering if I am having “suicidal ideations” (No thank you Medicare) as the insurance companies worry, the answer is a definite “No!” Life is a joyous adventure. Every minute, every trial, every sorrow, every joy.

            Thank you Jesus.
