John 17:23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me.

One of  the imperatives Christ impressed upon the disciples was the idea of unity. If you would take note, this did not and never has meant that we should speak alike, walk alike, and look alike. Unity is far deeper than that. It means essentially that we agree on what might be called the “broad strokes” of the Christian faith. Yes, there will be differences of thought, of execution, and of service, but what me must agree upon is the basic tenets of Christian faith no matter how perverted and errant the attempts of the world trying to force or obfuscate the issue. You are either “in the camp”, or lost in the outer darkness.

To that end, I re-affirm the Apostles creed as the all time basis for a united Christian faith. –I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The Holy catholic Church, the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body, And the Life everlasting. Amen.

May we all find our freedom in this amazing statement.
