Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Every once in a while it needs to be said. Trust. A rare commodity in today’s world. But to trust with all, with everything, that is truly rare. What does it mean to trust completely? God will never make you choose one path over another. He will lay before you His righteous choice, it’s up to you to walk that way. Every critical choice in your life God will be right there informing you in your spirit the choice He would have you make.
As you grow in Him it will become more easily discernible when you are at some sort of crossroads. The trust part comes in learning to be still, quiet before Him, humbling yourself and submitting to what you know of Him. Sometimes to walk with God is a gut wrenching tearing away from the easy, the familiar, the comfortable, the “safe”. At other times walking with the Lord is like escaping to a safe haven.
A you learn to trust Him you will begin to understand what it means to love what He loves and to act in the same way approaching the love Jesus demonstrated for this world when He submitted to the cross to the great benefit of us all.
