I Corinthians 6:19-20  Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Is there anything more beautiful than a child’s devotion? I am not surprised therefore that Jesus would have us to be transformed to become once again as “little children”. (Matthew 18:3) A child, and one thinks immediately of children at play, will likely get dirty from playing. But, good honest dirt would be far preferable to the sort of corrupting influences that child will experience as he or she grows older.

For most of us, coming back to Jesus, if we had ever known Him at all,  has been a process of becoming more and more childlike. Despite all of the negative “black crow” images of priests and clergy these oh so serious individuals are tasked by God to lead us back into childhood in some ways. I recognize that innocence can never be restored, but, Jesus, our healer, our Savior, and our deliverer is able to fit us out for the “bestest journey of all.” Are you ready?
