Deuteronomy 11: 11 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. 12 It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.

When I think about what God intended for Israel, and now in the era of Jesus’ Church what his intentions are I am saddened by my part in the failure of living up to those intentions. I can imagine the possibility of the beauty that God sees as his ultimate end for this era of creation, but I just don’t know how to get there. The weight and darkness of sin upon the world is so enormous, so crippling, so decayed that were it not for the light of Jesus I would despair utterly. But, that is the good news. God works through our knowledge of His great love.
The steadfast love
Of the Lord never ceases
His mercies never come to an end
They are new every morning
New every morning
Great is Thy faithfulness O Lord
