Proverbs 29:9 If a wise person goes to court with a fool, the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.
10 The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity and seek to kill the upright.

Litigious-prone to go to law over any and every issue. Sadly, we live in such times as have ever been. The apostle Paul while claiming privilege as a Roman citizen also admonished the Corinthian Church in the matter of lawsuits. Read 1 Corinthians 6:1-9. We have gone so far in justifying the unjust and making excuses for outlandish behavior that many legislators have busily formulated various “victims rights” platforms most of which have largely been ignored.
While I agree that Christians should be subject to secular law in as much as it does not violate Christian principles, we should also live beyond and above the requirements of the law. We should be scrupulously honest. We should never impinge the freedom of another unless it does specific harm to us.
Punishment under law should and must be left to the secular courts. We should do our utmost to follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus in these matters. Yes, that is right, even unto the cross.
There are many bloodthirsty, violence crazed individuals in the world today. Jesus warned his disciples we will be hated because of Him, His honesty, His integrity, His purity. In short, there is really no remedy at law for the Christian, save the law of God.
