1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
Love is after all, not about what you get, it’s about what you give. Every day we are bombarded with opportunities to live out the love of Jesus to one person or another. Beyond all the hype of evangelism and theological; discourse, both fo which are extremely important, there is yet the simple fact that more people are won to faith in God by seeing that fain in action through the love of folks they know.
The great tragedy and danger for Christians is that we come to enjoy each other’s company too much and love the world too little. This is not God’s way. “God so loved the world…”. (John 3:16) A truly chilling and scary thought. Every time I think this I see images of city streets anywhere in the world and the tragedy of children sold into the bondage of the human traffickers for the sex trade or other forms of slavery. This is the world that God loves. These are the people, the evil and the innocent who Jesus died for. Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
