2 Kings 2:9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
Do you hunger for more of God in your life? Make no mistake, It was not the “spirit of Elijah that Elisha sought. It was the Spirit of God in Elijah that he wanted, that he hungered for, that he risked everything for. Today we have what one songwriter has called “Rock Star preachers”. When we once decide to accept that God uses even the most inept, inconsequential people to do His most profound work on earth we are beginning to track in the right direction. Yes, He can even use you and I. When you want what God has for you more than life itself you will be filled with “all the fullness of God.”
