Psalm 139:13-14For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

For those who may not know the image above is that of a pre-born baby in the mother’s womb. This is God’s workshop as he has made each one of us. The more we come to understand the human creation and its creator we can begin to understand just how much love God has invested in each one of us. If we could get this sad lost world to just stop the slaughter of these innocents we could perhaps begin to see that we, are in effect, so like these young pre-born and certainly worthy of the love God has bestowed upon these little ones. I won’t linger on the carnage and mass genocide of infants, except to say that we are no less worthy of the same fate as these.
You have heard that the Greek word for unconditional love is Agape (`a-gap-e). Think for a moment what that might imply in the context of a sex mad culture where the lives of the children become the bargaining chip in our games of lust and conquest. What would it take to change any of that?
As you pray today ask God if you are really doing his will with regards to lost little ones and their parents all around you. Many of us grew up in a time where the family support system literally saved many of us from total ruin. Perhaps we might, in our repentance and turning away from our self-centered ambitions, begin to find our way back to a place where love lives and thrives.
