Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

How intently he observes. How much he can learn. The curiosity of a young boy or girl to know their world is something I have always found to be a wonderful thing to see. I wonder, how many of today’s Christians are as curious about the law that God is “writing upon their hearts”. We loudly proclaim the scriptures where the apostle Paul proclaims in Romans 3:28,
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Unfortunately far too many preachers and followers have used this one verse to justify their own lawlessness. We need to know and understand God’s law as best as we possibly can. We need to understand how it communicated the righteous will of God for a people living on the run in the wilderness. So much of modern day canon law is derived from the decalogue, that is the Ten Commandments and the particulars that follow in the books of Moses also known as the fivefold book of the law, or the Pentateuch. If we could once read those laws and understand God’s heart which is behind them all then we might just begin to understand a few things about ourselves
