Psalm 116 I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

How wonderful it is to know that God hears our prayers. Even more wonderful is the fact that God responds to our prayers. I was reminded today of Samuel’s mother. (1 Samuel 1)Who prayed for the birth of her son, and remained in prayer even though everything in her life seemed arrayed against her.

We should never stop praying that God would move in the lives of the people we care the most about. Children can be exasperating at the best of times, but we have no warrant to relinquish the responsibility of prayer for these gifts from God. I say that as a parent who has more than once sincerely offered my own life if God would save my children. God’s answer is always the same. My son already died for them. That is enough. I see them, and I love them. I will not take away their fee will, their right to choose , but I will never rescind the offer of hope and restoration even unto the very last moment of their lives.

Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!
