1 Corinthians 15:20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

The undeniable distinction of two separate, yet conjoined realities is expressed her as eloquently as is possible. I take comfort in the knowledge that as the Holy Spirit works to awaken (quicken, enliven) individuals one by one that these realities do not change. You will die, I will die, it is inevitable. But it is what happens after our physical death that really matters and carries the eternal promises, for some good, for others unimaginably horrific.
The whole world was lost
In the darkness of sin
The light of the world is Jesus
