Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There is a certain pointlessness of continuing to shoot if you constantly miss the target. Without Christ in your life, and the gift that he gives you will never hit the mark of a fulfilled life. It’s that simple. What you focus on, trying this, and trying that to achieve some state of fulfillment will always leave you empty, broken and without hope. For Christians living in the world today it pains us to look all around and see dead people, walking dead, a real “zombie apocalypse. What are we to do?
Very simply we are to obey Jesus our Christ. That is to believe in him and what he’s done for us. To follow his light and easy commands to love people, to share the good news of his salvation, and to nurture newborn Christians in their faith. Now, here’s the hard part. We need to trust Him for everything else, even unto our own physical death, for what lies beyond for those who trust Jesus is beyond any imagining.
