Hebrews 9: 11 But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. 12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.

When Jesus was crucified one of the things that happened which was of great significance was the rending of the curtain, that is the veil in the temple which closed off the “Holy of Holies” from common access. Now, in Christ the veil torn in two means that whosoever, that wonderful word meaning you and I may come into the presence of God at anytime and know we are heard. Jesus has accomplished what no other priest was ever able to do. He became our righteousness. Why would we ever even consider not receiving such an amazing gift. Jesus question to his disciples “are you still so dull..”, (Matthew 15:16) He might just as well be saying to this sad and empty world. Access to the very throne room of heaven, an audience with the king, one who is ever interceding for his children. No wonder the Charles Hutchison Gabriel wrote  “I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene”.
