Matthew 7: 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

This illustration perfectly expresses the relationship between those inside the body of Christ and those outside. Just as in the Old Testament account of the Exodus and Moses’ wanderings there was a distinction made between thoes inside the camp and those outside, so too in this present world there is a clear distinction between those who have by faith received the grace and forgiveness of God in His only begotten son’s sacrifice, and those who will forever reside in the outer darkness.
There are many who wish to believe that there are many gods, and many paths to eternal life. They are welcome to do so, but the heart of Jesus is that all would come in and receive the gift of the Father. It shall be with no little sadness on that great and terrible “Day of the Lord” .
“The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. (Obadiah 1:15)
