Isaiah 49:13 Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.

The Lord loves it when we sing. So, what do we do? We fight about what song to sing, how to sing it, how often and how long we should sing, how this one is acting like a fool and this one is just sitting there like a bump on a log. Frankly, I get sick of the whole thing. I’ve been a worship leader for over thirty years and have been playing or singing in church settings since I was eight years old. Believe me when I say there is no end of things people can complain about when it comes to singing in church. Here is my word to you, not that it matters very much. GET OVER YOURSELF. If you have an opinion keep it to yourself. If you don’t like the quality or technology, do something constructive, like help. Rather than sitting and complaining help make it better. I find that usually the complainers are the ones who don’t sing anyway.
All that being said, church leadership that does not prioritize worship leaves the congregations open to lackluster, spiritless unfocused times of merely singing in such a desultory fashion as to create a foothold for the enemy.
SING! Teach the children to sing. Sing and shout praise everywhere you go.
Let his gory break through
Let His glory break through
Let His glory renew
Let it wash over you
Let it break through (LMLawrence Music 2015)
