Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints, and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

It is very difficult to “put the pieces together” of our thoughts and attitudes. So many things affect them. Circumstances, health, environment, experience, all are factors in forming thoughts and attitudes. Each one is unique, even though in our md scramble to sort out the “demographics” of everyone’s lives we are often glossing over the more sinister elements of our thought life.
My grandchildren enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles. I love to watch them as they make one small discovery after another. So to with the Word of God. The more of yourself you invest in exploring the many mysteries of His love for us the more you will experience the joy of that sort of intimacy.
I am so grateful that God has given us His word, His truth, His son, that we might have the sort of help we so desperately need to clarify and cleanse our thinking, to “put the jumbled pieces together” so to speak. I will freely admit that sometimes I do not know just exactly why I feel the way I do about some things. But, I am confident in this that God’s Word will be there in my heart and mind to sort it all out.
