Week 19 Day 2

Isaiah 57:4 Who are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?

Oblivion sings a siren song. Young rebels flex their individuality by conforming to the herd migration toward whatever uncertain destiny seems to be the most alluring. So it has ever been. Overthrow the past, dismiss the warnings of the elders. Charge ahead into the oblivion that awaits. Repent in your old age seeing the error of your ways. If only…

The rules by which we live are only as good as the people for whom they were given. If the people are no good, they are like the biblical salt which is only fit to be trampled underfoot. And so, after the veneer of civilization is completely stripped away in this horrendous game of liar’s poker, we are left with the sad realization that hell awaits. But wait. You can still cry out to Jesus. No matter how bleak, no matter how desperate, no mater how far you’ve fallen you can call to him and he will meet you right where you are.

            Don’t miss the opportunity.
