Week 13 Day 7
Finding God in the Mysteries of every day
Psalm 31:19-21 19 How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you.
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from all human intrigues;
you keep them safe in your dwelling
from accusing tongues.
21 Praise be to the Lord,
for he showed me the wonders of his love
when I was in a city under siege.

Today, as any day is a day to give thanks to God for His loving kindness. No matter how bleak things seem sometimes there is always the fulfillment of one of God’s many promises just around the corner. Certainly, we are necessarily drawn into those promises often through trials and troubles, literal sieges in our lives. Sometimes it even seems that we barely have time to breathe in the sweet relief of a siege lifted than another enemy besieges us whether from within or outside of ourselves. I am thankful today to be between the aforementioned sieges in my own life, and am praising and enjoying the sense of wonder that comes from knowing God’s love.
Our scars are a sign of grace in our lives
And Father how You brought us through
When deep were the wounds and dark was the night
