Finding God in the every day

Week 8 Day 5

Philippians 2:9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Have you ever asked yourself why does my praise to God matter? Have you ever wondered; What is the point of worship? One of the worst affects of sin, the turning away and systematic killing off of any sense of God in the here and now,  is our inability to look beyond our myopic view of self and be literally forced to acknowledge the presence, power and compassion of our Creator God. We become so hardened tour own perception of our needs and desires that there is literally no room to even consider the One whose ways are so much higher than ours.

It is impossible, once coming to the realization of this great God and his loving Son, Jesus,  to fail to cry out in praise and worship. Even when we are distracted by circumstances here on this earth, this plain, these times, by His Spirit we are inexorably drawn to the only One in the universe who can help us see beyond the here and now and find in Him the equipping to survive these days in expectation of a complete deliverance to His glory. Sing Hallelujah!
